February 9 zodiac sign

By Maren Tremblay, Fatesight editor · Last updated October 30, 2026

February 9 is Aquarius: at noon UTC on this date from 1950 to 2010, the Sun stood between 19°41' Aquarius and 20°52' Aquarius, on the line between the third and second decans, with the constellation Capricornus behind it.

What these decans are read as

The third decan of Aquarius is read as carrying a touch of Libra and Venus. It is the warmest Aquarius. People here tend to mix their ideals with real charm, to want equality in love as well as affection, and to bring people together at work without needing to run the room.

The second decan of Aquarius is read as carrying a touch of Gemini and Mercury. The ideas want a listener. These Aquarians tend to talk to anyone, to fall for a mind before a face, and to be happiest with a group chat full of strangers who agree on one odd thing.

What the number 9 adds

Numerology reads a birthday that comes to 9 as the mark of someone with a wide view. It tends to mean sympathy for all sorts of people, an idealistic streak in love, and a talent for letting go when something is over.
