What is a rising sign?
The rising sign, or ascendant, is the zodiac sign on the eastern horizon when you were born. The sky turns once a day, so it changes about every two hours, and it needs your birth time: two people born on the same day can have different rising signs.
In astrology it is read as the way you meet the world: the first impression you give and your instinctive style, beside your Sun sign (who you are) and your Moon sign (what you need).
The 12 rising signs
