January 23 zodiac sign

By Maren Tremblay, Fatesight editor · Last updated October 30, 2026

January 23 is Aquarius: at noon UTC on this date from 1950 to 2010, the Sun stood between 2°25' Aquarius and 3°37' Aquarius, in the first decan, with the constellation Capricornus behind it.

What the first decan of Aquarius is read as

The first decan of Aquarius is read as Aquarius twice over, Uranus and Saturn arguing it out. People here tend to hold firm opinions about how everything should work. In love they need a friend first, and at work they do best with a problem nobody has solved.

What the number 5 adds

Numerology reads a birthday that comes to 5 as the mark of a free mover. It tends to mean a low tolerance for routine, a taste for change and travel, and a need for a partner who doesn't keep score of where you were.
