Past life calculator

Past life astrology reads the Moon's south node as what you carried in from before, and the north node opposite it as where this life is pulling you. Your date of birth is enough to find both, and the table below gives the dates for every sign.

What the calculator works out

The Moon's nodes are the two points where its path crosses the Sun's path around the sky. They move slowly backward through the zodiac and spend about a year and a half in each sign, always exactly opposite each other, so everyone born in the same stretch shares them.

Past life astrology reads the south node as old habits, talents that come easily and the comfort you fall back on, and the north node as what feels unfamiliar and worth moving toward. Reincarnation is a belief that many traditions hold, and these readings are how this one describes it.

The Moon's nodes by birth date

Find your birth date. The node can wobble back across a line for a few days near a change, so each short stay is shown as it happened. Dates are in UTC.

How this is worked out

We take the true node from the chart code behind our birth charts, for noon UTC on the date, and find each change of sign to the minute. Some tools use the mean node instead, which moves evenly and can give a different sign near a change. How we calculate the sky shows the checks.
