What the year means for the Goat
This is your own animal's year, which the Chinese tradition calls ben ming nian. It does not bring the luck you might expect: the tradition treats it as a year of change and testing, when you are more visible and more exposed to whatever is shifting. Go gently and build on what is steady. Traditionally, people wear something red to mark the year, and many still do it for fun.
The tradition says Fire feeds Earth, so this year's element is on your side, adding warmth and support to what you are already building.
Goat love forecast 2027
In love, your kindness is what people fall for, and this year you should be just as kind to yourself. Do not give up what you need in order to keep the peace. If you are partnered, say plainly what has changed for you. If you are single, this is a good year to get clear on what you want before you commit.
Goat career forecast 2027
At work, you may feel more visible than you would like, and more is likely to be asked of you. It is a good year to finish things and to protect your time, and it is a less good one for large new risks. Creative work suits you, and it may well get seen. Ask for help before you need it.
Goat money forecast 2027
Be conservative. Your own year is traditionally a time to keep a cushion and skip the big risk. Generosity is one of your best qualities, so set a limit on what you lend or give. Review your costs early in the year, and put off any large commitment you are unsure of.
Making decisions as a Goat in 2027
When you are not sure, slow down. You pick up on other people's moods easily, so take time alone before making a big choice. Ask what you would do if nobody needed anything from you, and start from there. Small steady steps suit this year better than bold ones.
Your months in 2027
Each lunar month has its own animal, and the tradition reads them against yours.
- Your own month, the Goat's: July 4 to August 1, a time when your concerns tend to come to the front.
- The Rabbit's month: March 8 to April 6, your natural ally, an easier time to ask for help.
- The Pig's month: October 29 to November 27, your natural ally, an easier time to ask for help.
- The Ox's month: December 28 to January 25, your opposite, a time to expect some movement and stay flexible.
Dates are for Beijing's calendar, which sets the Chinese new year.
Goat birth years
You are a Goat if you were born in one of these Chinese years, and the element changes each time. Chinese years begin in January or February, so a birthday early in the year may belong to the year before.
