Yes or no tarot
Think of a question that can be answered yes or no, type it below and draw one card.
How the answer works
Every card leans toward yes, no or maybe. A reversed card turns a yes into a maybe and a maybe into a no. The same question asked on the same day draws the same card, so the answer doesn't change just because you ask again. Your question is not stored.

How to phrase a yes or no question
Ask about one thing, in one sentence, and make it something that could really go either way. "Should I take this job?" works better than "What should I do about work?", and "Is this a good time to talk to him?" works better than "Will everything be all right?" Put yourself in the question where you can: the cards tend to say more about what you can do than about what someone else might. If you find you are asking the same thing in a different way, the first answer probably wasn't the one you wanted, and that is worth noticing.
What a maybe means
A maybe is not the cards refusing to answer. It usually means that the outcome depends on something still open: a talk you haven't had, a detail you don't know, or a decision someone hasn't made. Treat it as a pointer to find out what that thing is. Then read the card's own meaning, which tends to say where the uncertainty lies.
Upright and reversed
An upright card gives its lean plainly. A reversed card holds it back: here, a yes turns into a maybe and a maybe turns into a no, while a no stays a no. Readers take a reversal to mean that the card's subject is blocked, delayed or turned inward, so a reversed yes is often a real yes that isn't ready yet. About one draw in four comes up reversed.
Using it for love, work and money
For love, ask about your next step rather than another person's heart: "Should I reach out?" gives you something to do. For work, name the actual choice in front of you and the deadline if there is one. For money, the cards are better at showing whether you feel clear about a decision than at the numbers, so use them to test your confidence, then check the sums. Whichever it is, the most useful moment is often the second after you turn the card, when you notice whether you hoped for a different answer.

Questions people ask
Is yes or no tarot accurate?
It works best as a clear first reaction to a clear question. Most readers treat it as a way to find out what you already suspect, and one card gives a lean rather than the whole story.
Which tarot cards mean yes?
Mostly the bright and forward-moving cards: the Sun, the Star, the World and the aces. The table on this page shows how each of the 78 leans, upright and reversed.
Which tarot cards mean no?
Mostly the cards of loss, conflict and endings, such as the Tower, the Three of Swords and the Ten of Swords. The table on this page lists every one.
How many times can I ask?
As often as you have new questions. The same question on the same day draws the same card here, because asking again rarely tells you anything new.
